A new tooth, fixed for good
Replace a missing tooth with a natural-looking implant that works like your own tooth. Your dentist checks your bone with an X-ray and scan first.

- Looks and feels like your own tooth
- Helps keep your jawbone and face shape
- Leaves the teeth beside the gap untouched
- Can last a lifetime with good care
Dental implants explained
A dental implant acts like the root of a tooth. It is placed below the gumline into the jawbone. It then holds a porcelain crown, a bridge or a denture firmly in place.
It can help with
- A single missing tooth, at the front or back
- Several missing teeth
- Loose or uncomfortable dentures
- Avoiding filing down healthy teeth for a bridge
- Adults of any age from 18 up
One tooth, one journey
From first consultation to final smile, here’s what replacing one tooth looks like at Truly.
Which one is right for you?
Single implant crown
One implant and one crown replace one missing tooth.
Implant bridge
Fewer implants hold several teeth, for example two implants holding three missing teeth.
Implant-held dentures
Implants hold dentures securely so they do not move around in your mouth.
Bone grafting
Rebuilds thin jawbone so an implant can be placed safely.

Good to know
Does getting an implant hurt?
No. Your gums are fully numbed, so you only feel some vibration and gentle pressure. Some discomfort for a day or two is normal, and over-the-counter pain relief usually helps.
How long does it take?
In most cases about 4 months from placing the implant to fitting the permanent crown or bridge. A temporary tooth can often be fitted on the same day as the implant.
Will it look like a natural tooth?
Yes. Our technicians make each crown to fit your mouth and match the colour of your own teeth.
Is there an age limit?
Implants are not suitable under 18, because the jawbone is still developing. There is no upper age limit.
Will I need a bone graft?
Not always. A scan shows whether you have enough bone. If not, your dentist will tell you at the start and include it in your plan.
Are implants hard to clean?
Not at all. You clean them like your natural teeth. We recommend seeing our implant hygienist every 3 months.
